The Penthouse Club, located in Perth, Australia, opened its doors on January 15, 2015, and has recently celebrated its 10th anniversary.
A Penthouse Club Perth Re-Imagines
In 1995, the Penthouse Club, previously called “Xotica” hosted a prestigious crowd, featuring three Miss Nude Australia winners: Paris La Moore (2007), Madison Ivy Love (2013), and Allegra King (2015). However, despite its glory, co-owners Derek Mason and Lilly Merendino believed that the best way to further enhance the future of the club was to embrace the public image of Penthouse’s brand, inspiring the complete rebranding and renovation into Perth’s Penthouse Club.
Beginning in 2013, resident showgirl Paris La Moore was recognized as Australia’s Pet of the Year, followed by another successful claim by Tanika West in 2014. These successes inspired the new standards and visions for The Penthouse Club Perth, both in visuals and management.
The club is uniquely known to be run by an entire management team of women known as the “Ladies in Red”. While the “Ladies in Red” all began their careers as dancers, showgirls, or bar staff, they have worked their way up with priceless insights into the interactions between staff and patrons, rarely seen in the industry, but sure to provide a uniquely delightful experience.
Visually, the owners broke away from the aesthetics of a traditional gentlemen’s club, featuring refreshing ultra-modern décor and a stage background screen projecting cinematic-quality music videos alongside high-fidelity sound, private booths for dancers, and a VIP Skybox overlooking the stage. Within the VIP Skybox, patrons will find electronically switchable glass, adding an exclusive dimension to the high-roller experience.
The Penthouse Club Perth does not shine simply on looks and service alone but emphasizes providing a world-class entertainment experience. Performances by three to four dancers on the stage accompany video music mixes showcasing exhilarating aerial movement on the lyra and ropes, as well as themed striptease and pole skills. For special events, a group of “keygirls” called the Black Label Dancers further enrich the fantasy with one-of-a-kind show routines.
While establishing a concept, the dancers of the Penthouse Club engage in rigorous rehearsals, honing their talent to captivating levels of synchronization and fluidity that have not gone unnoticed. Their spectacular entertainment was recognized for its quality and attention to patron service through the Exotic Dancer’s Award for “Best International Show Club” of 2016. This prized award against fellow talented nominees around the globe including: Boudoir Rouge (Calgary, AB, Canada), Golden Girls Elite Gentlemen’s Club (Moscow, Russia), Peelerz (Nisku, AB, Canada), Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club (Croydon, England), The Penthouse Club (Paris, France), Showgirls Bar 20 (Melbourne, Australia), and Spearmint Rhino (London, United Kingdom), only further highlights the dedication and success of The Penthouse Club Perth.
Coveted as the most exciting part of the anniversary is the annual Perth Penthouse Club “Keygirl” awards. Voted on by the illustrious Ladies in Red, the dancers and performers who demonstrated excellence in personal presentation, grooming, costuming, punctuality, social media engagement and work ethic over the previous 12 months were awarded Solid Gold Keys. Repeat winners received a diamond added to their keys to signify their accomplishment. In total, eleven Gold Keys and eight Single Diamond Keys were presented and celebrated during the awards, however, fifteen-year resident dancer and showgirl, Addison Andrews, was also remarkably recognized as the first Double Diamond Keygirl!
The Penthouse Club in Perth exemplifies perfection through its attention to detail, precision of movement in performance, costume design, and seamless integration of music and lighting. Their commitment to quality and recognition of exceptional talent makes them a pillar of success, and we can’t wait to see them celebrated for years to come.
For those stuck in the Northern Hemisphere for the foreseeable future, we would still suggest a virtual tour. Of course should you be planning a trip that might bring you to the Perth area, you have many more options, although honestly Perth cannot be on the way to too many final destinations. Best course of action might be to just plan a trip to Perth so you can hang out at the club for a week or so. There might be other things to do there, since it does happen to be a pretty big city, but why would you want to do anything else?
